Al Carlson passes along the following from their latest
Mexico trip:
"We have
discussed the Carlsons flying around Mexico (and Elsewhere) with Bill Frisbie.
Bill, now a Beech Barron driver, was the Chief Pilot for Pan Am and trained all
of the Air Force 1 crews during the President Ronald Reagan and President George
Bush Sr era, also flying that 747 himself. We just returned from the
Pilotos Reunion in Alamos, Sonora, Mexico where the group at the Hacienda de los
Santos Resort was treated to an informal, extensive, and fascinating briefing of
Bill's diverse aviation career in the military and with Pan Am. Although a
youngster then, he also told of the China Clipper days and flying as pilot for
the 50th anniversary of the Clipper route. Wish I could have recorded his
remarks."

And more Carlson happenings...recognize the lady?
"..... attached are a couple of photographs of me and a high school chum, Lee
Meriwether, a former Miss America. Still performing in movies, television and on
the stage, you may remember Lee from the Barneby Jones TV series or as Cat
Woman. I have forgotten all the roles Lee played.
As you look at the (lower) photo, please remember that I don't make a practice
of nuzzling beautiful women - at least not in front of AV Press photographers."
