  AREA DEVELOPMENT CONTINUES:  The number of developments in the planning stages for the Rosamond area continues to expand, so we are starting a special collection within the website to house the information we receive.  The Association attempts to keep abreast of these happenings, and to file comments with the planning agencies when appropriate.   For the moment, here are the more significant ones (primarily west of the freeway) on which we have files open (click titles to view):

Stetson Rental Duplexes 

Background: This is an 80-unit rental development on 10 acres approximately across from Lot 42 of the Skypark. This is a high density project compared to the single-family residential areas which surround it, and drew a number of comments from Skypark residents, the Association, and others.  

Results: At the initial hearing the County planner approved it substantially as submitted by the developer, with the addition of the avigation easement requested by the Association.   A formal appeal was filed by Paul Rosales w/support from others, generating an appeal hearing on April 26 with a re-hearing on May 31.  The developer agreed to two major mitigation measures.....click on 'Results' link below for details...
