While not strictly a Rosamond incident, this one really hits home...ending 20+ years and 5000+ hours of service to your webmaster, his beloved C-182 came to a bad end at Monument Valley when extreme dust-devil winds lifted the bird, pulling the tie-down wire rope right out of the ground. And she had a new paint job, too!
